SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVED LEVEL TO YOUR MIC PREAMP

The DM2 provides switchable +15dB or +30dB of consistent gain regardless of the connected load, thanks to its dedicated buffer amplifier providing you more flexibility for your particular applications.

  • DM2-Image-Map-Side-aspect-ratio-545-390

MATCH THE IMPEDANCE OF YOUR FAVORITE MIC

From an unconventionally low 50 ohms to stunningly high 10 mega ohms to match your preamp with any mic accurately to ruthlessly boost the signal independent from load impedance or cable length.

  • DM2-Image-Map-Side-aspect-ratio-545-390

DEDICATED OUTPUT BUFFER AMPLIFIER & RELIABLE SIGNAL CONNECTION

The output impedance is also the lowest in its class, allowing long cable runs while reducing susceptibility to RF interference, buzz and hum with a gold-plated XLR connector for loss-free signal connection.

  • DM2-Image-Map-3-aspect-ratio-545-390

CLASS-A DESIGN & LOWEST NOISE IN ITS CLASS

Class-A design and specially-selected high-grade FETs enable vastly lower output impedance and the lowest noise in its class providing the gain needed to for a clean sound and much less noise.

  • “If you are looking for a solid, high gain signal booster that almost meets the old engineering goal of a ‘wire with gain’, I’d say sE have created it.”

    — Sound-Guy (Dennis Wilkins)
  • “They are beyond what I expected…the amount of gain and cleanliness is fantastic.”

    — Patrick Derivaz, Producer / Composer / Engineer / Performer (Laurie Anderson, Phillip Glass)
  • “Really impressive: the color is almost gone. If anything, the signal is somewhat refined…I already had similar products that did not convince me that much. Well thought out and implemented."

Artists putting the DM2 on the map from studios to stages worldwide

What are the system requirements?

– Input: passive microphone (ribbon/dynamic)
– output: preamp/mixer/audio interface providing 48V phantom power

LIMITATIONS – not suitable for phantom-powered microphones (condenser microphones, active ribbon microphones)

What kind of microphones does the DM2 work with?

The DM2 is intended for use only with passive microphones – i.e. microphones that do not require phantom power for operation, like passive dynamic and passive ribbon microphones. It will not work with condenser microphones or active ribbon mics.

My DM2 isn't doing anything / I don't hear any signal / all I hear is a buzz or hum.

Please ensure the DM2 is connected securely between your microphone and your mic preamp, and make sure that +48V phantom power is turned ON on your mic preamp. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact your local dealer, or fill out our Support Request form and we’ll help!
