About

Costa’s collaborations with jazz legends such as Wynton Marsalis, Émile Parisien, and Uri Caine highlight his role in elevating Portuguese jazz on the global stage. His debut project as a bandleader, Oxy Patina, was met with critical acclaim, earning him “Best Album of the Year” and “National Jazz Musician of the Year.”

Currently, Costa leads the innovative quartet CHROMOSOME, featuring Cuong Vu, Benoit Delbecq, and Bruno Chevillon. The group, named “Band of the Year” at the RTP / Festa do Jazz 2023 awards, continues to push the boundaries of modern jazz, while Costa also serves as a professor in the Jazz department at the University of Aveiro.

"With sE Microphones, I get a natural, authentic sound that works perfectly across my different styles, from jazz to pop. Whether on stage or in the studio, they reliably capture the essence of my music."
