About

Emerging from Canada’s modern rock scene, Nicholas has built a multifaceted career that spans songwriting, production, live performance, and professional audio engineering.

As the creative backbone of Sticks N Stones, Nicholas writes, produces, and mixes the majority of the band’s releases, shaping a sound that balances hard-hitting riffs with polished, contemporary production. The band has toured internationally, earning a reputation for high-energy live shows and a DIY work ethic that reflects Nicholas’s hands-on approach to every stage of the creative process.

Beyond the band, Nicholas is an active live sound engineer within the Toronto music scene, bringing his studio sensibilities into real-world performance environments. His technical fluency allows him to move seamlessly between stage and studio, giving him a rare dual perspective as both performer and engineer.

Nicholas has collaborated and co-produced projects with Grammy-nominated producers including Joe Rickard, Joshua Saldate, and Johnny Karkazis, further refining his production voice and expanding his professional reach. He has also worked as a guitar tech for Phil X, supporting Phil X’s solo project across the United States—an experience that deepened his understanding of high-level touring and professional guitar systems.

A longtime user of sE Electronics microphones, Nicholas has relied on their tools for over five years across both studio and live applications. His loyalty to the brand reflects his commitment to reliability, clarity, and performance-driven gear in demanding real-world environments.

Still in his early twenties, Nicholas Lisanti represents a new generation of rock artists: self-sufficient, technically skilled, and creatively driven. Whether fronting a stage, producing in the studio, or engineering live sound, he continues to build a career defined by versatility, precision, and a relentless dedication to his craft.

“Live on stage or grinding it out in the studio, the only microphone brand I trust for my sound is sE electronics”
