Influenced by pop, funk, rock, and grunge, he decided to pursue a professional career in music at 17. After studying at the conservatory in Tilburg, where he expanded his expertise into jazz, Latin, and classical music, Mike began performing nationwide and teaching drums at his own school. Since 2011, he has been the drummer for the internationally acclaimed Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation, performing in 43 countries across the globe. Mike’s passion for precision and power is amplified with sE Electronics microphones, which he trusts to capture the full impact of his drumming.
